PHILIPPE BOISSONNET Holograms and photographs August 28th - September 28th 2008 Private view: Since 1982, the French-born artist Philippe Boissonnet has lived and worked in Montréal (Canada), and since 1993 has taught visual and media arts at the University of Quebec (Trois-Rivières). Boissonnet's early work included drawings, copier-art and photography. Over the last twenty years he has developed a strong body of work integrating holography and light with sculpture and/or interactive installation pieces. The interactive holographic installation (Galileo) exhibited in the 286 Gallery's show is from a series of two works entitled 'The awareness of limits' that was produced in1992 and 1993.
